Another fleece house dress

Hi!

As I have got another fleece fabric from my husband, I have made another fleece dress for house use.

The pattern I used was 'Drawstring Dress' from 'Simple Modern Sewing'.

But I modified the neck parts. The original pattern's neck is quite wide and would make me cold..
I changed it more narrower.

Now I am wearing it as making sure everything what I wanted. However I have noticed I need something to neck part.. hmm.... what I can add?
Let me think..

It's Winter but falling in love to Autumn...

Hello~!

As I am not currently working, all my energy is focus to sewing. (*o*)/

I have just finished the skirt which is used the same design with Dog skirt.

 It looks very Autumn feeling.. Can I wear this skirt in Winter time? ;-)
Actually this fabric called Autumn leaf from presigious textiles. Fabric is for interior such as curtains and cushions.  I bought this fabric at Trago - only 1.5 m left - so it was a bargain.

I just thought it could be match with my jacket..

A ha! Good, good!

So.. what will I make next?

Pig Story 1 - Oink Oink

Hi!

After I made the sleeveless dress yesterday, I wanted to make something with that fabric.

So I downloaded pattern from http://craft.nunodoll.com/pig/pinkpig.html (Unfortunately in Japanese) and made pig.. :-)

ahhh.. so cute..

ohhh... cute back...

 kiss kiss kiss

From now on.. he will work as a pin cushion.. hihihihi.. (so cruel! by pig)

Sleeveless dress

Hi!

You thought why she has made the sleeveless dress in this cold weather?

Because I wanted. - Actually while I was reading the sewing book of 'The Beginner's Guild to Dress Making' by Wendy Ward, I suddenly thought I wanted to make the sleeveless dress from her pattern!

 This book is very good for beginner's (obviously!) and so many sewing techniques you can learn.
But only one thing, her how to install the zip is not recommended.. Book shows it looks easy but I found it was not easy to follow her instruction.. I have found the better way from the instruction from Vogue pattern.
Apart from it, this book is soon good. I like to try to make a jacket.

Here is what I made:

Unfortunately the pattern was a little big for my body - I had to modify the pattern to fit my body size.
Now I created the sleeveless dress pattern by based on hers. :-) I don't know how to draw the pattern myself - so I need a good basic pattern! Thanks to Wendy Ward!

By the way, I quite like this fleece skirt. And I co-ordinate like below..

 It's looks fun!

Button Front Shirt

Today, I have started sewing from 9:00 and finished 19:30...

What I made it? I made a shirt dress.

The pattern is from Simple Modern Sewing - 8b.

I used Indian fabric which I bought 1 year ago. I made skirt from this fabric and I was thinking I wanted to make shirt dress.

And back..

I think I did well... But my nail has been ruined when I attached buttons.. :-(

Never mind! Now I spent all this fabric! Yay!

So what is happening to drape drape3?

Hi~!

A couple days ago, I was talking about to complete the two-piece v-neck blouse from drape drape 3.

I actually did nothing yesterday.. I enjoyed lazy Sunday time.. Watching TV,

Funny movie we watched yesterday was 'Battle of Los Angeles' on SyFy channel.
When we watch movie from SyFy channel when we don't want to watch seriously.
SyFy is the best channel for something fun.

This film was funny.. Because its cheap movie. You can tell army the base was very dated and officer shouted young pilot because he was scared to fly.. (?!)
Of course while officer was shouting, alien came to shoot him. Everything was so expected.
Suddenly Kill-Bill lady with samurai sward appeared and she destroy alien's small plane.. (really?!)

I wondered how they destroy the alien's mothership which is invaded to Los Angeles.
My guess was they would remove the battery from it...

Actually they went to inside of alien's mothership (Independent day?!) and of course they destroyed it successfully however it was on the air of the middle of Los Angeles - everything was destroyed. Hmm.. it was a good plan! (my husband said)

Of don't ask me the details of movie.. I didn't watch carefully.. while doing something, I just watched it sometimes for just fun.. ;-)

Anyway, I had a relaxing day..

And now I have finished this blouse.

Because I have already prepared for cold winter..

Hello!

I have already got enough winter clothes for house - now I can make something different.

Today I have traced pattern from drape drape3.

;-) Japanese pattern book but as I live in UK, I have got an English version. :-(

One Japanese sewing blogger mentioned it will be drape drape 4 available. But I don't know when..

I have got this series! Quite fancy to make. Unfortunately I don't have an overlock machine and I will not plan to get it as I like to challenge how my computer sewing machine could cope with various sewing techniques.

What I will make from this book?

I will make...

two-piece v-neck blouse!

My plan is to cut fabric tomorrow and start to sew. Possibly I could finish it by tomorrow's evening. (maybe maybe..)

Train stoped because ice condition in this morning..

As I expected yesterday, it became cold and proof is South West Train has been stopped by icy condition! News is here -> http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-35261595

After I made fleece house cloth yesterday, I have decided to make fleece skirt as some fabric left.

Looks warm! wear legging under this skirt and let's do gardening!

And I wanted to spent all fleece fabric - I made scarf as well.

Perfect for cold winter! 

Now I have spent 2m fleece fabric! This was £4.5/meter. Total cost for scarf+Skirt+House clothes = £10.  :-)

Hello!

Have you prepared cold winter?

I am!

Today I have made house clothes by fleece today because weather forecast said it will be cold in this weekend!

Based on Uniqlo(again!) house close for winter. I copied pattern from my house close and made it by fleece fabric!

It's so easy to make close by fleece fabric! You can just cut fabric and sew. no need to worry about hem. 

I'm actually wearing this now - so warm and cosy..
Fleece is perfect for winter!

Happy New Year!

Hello!

I have came back from holiday yesterday and it was fun (plus tired for full of rich foods!)!


There were new years party and of course I have won my dress!

Unfortunately I forgot my party necklaces from my husband on Christmas day... But lucky I have got this gorgeous pearl necklaces from local charity shop.. :-)

This worked very well! Phew....

We went to Cornwall and it was raining all day plus strong winds.

We went to seaside and look! it was so beautiful..

Oops.. I have to prepare dinner.
